Have license and permission, Footholds limited to padded jaw traps - there is a list of approved traps available, you may have to get that thru a fur biologist.
Snares allowed in Middle and West Tennessee, not allowed in East Tennessee.
All people in party muist have a license if they assist you: hand to a trap or other equipment, drive the vehicle, that's assist you in any way.
Body grippers not allowed on the ground. That can be beaten in Court. I did years back, but the Statute has not been changed.
There is a set season, and a list of furbearers allowed to be taken.

This is the most dissapointing regulation Tennessee has. I really hate it. I love hunting predators at night.

snares are legal through out the state now. rubber jaw foot hold, only on open ground, boby grip traps legal only in water only. see trapping regs in the web site posted in one of the above post for cable size,jaw spead etc.
