I guess we can stop using population control for an excuse to keeping trapping around. If you can't use it, don't trap it! To heck with wildlife management.

It really doesn't matter to me what they choose to live with or not. My point is that if the fur or meat has no value, I'm not going to kill the animal. Your laws are different than ours. If I kill a bear out of season it sure doesn't go to the landfill. I am required to skin it and present it to F&G. It's state property. There is still some value to it. What about road kills? A lot of those have value too.

Animals are not commodities, they are living critters. I believe we owe them the respect to make use of them if we are going to kill them. It's not my business if you think otherwise. Nor is it your business if I think FHA could have worded their statement differently. IMO, they should have said something to the effect of 'be selective in what you trap'.

These reports make me laugh. They have know idea what is gona happen come auction time. Shoot the whole world economy could completely colapse. Or the Dali Lama could say buy Otters. This is all speculation. LOL. Trap and release small coon, Chuck the rubbed, burred up coyotes. Give away your small beaver to your trapping association. All this will keep your averages up. Thats My .02

I can think of a good cause for those worthless yote pelts.

Minnesota tanned fur project. Donate.

Well, that's a question for 2Poor, or Tim Caven, or anyone on here who has donated before. I never have, but I think I'll have a few yotes this year to donate.

It's a real good cause, those skins make the rounds to schools and who knows what other places, someone should fill in the details...
