Post office is raising their rates as of tomorrow - May 12.

A stamp for a letter will be 42 cents.

Cost for the 2 smaller Flat Rate boxes will be 9.80.

Cost for the large Flat rat box remains the same - 12.95.

All other rates and classes of service are going up as well.

That's interesting. The charts I got at the post office says that starting tomorrow - May 12 - the small size flat rate box will cost 9.80.

Guess will have to wait and see what their web site says tomorrow.

I just checked the post office web site and their rate calculator still has the old rates in it. Just like HLW said.

I'll put money on the fact that it will be different when you check it tomorrow!!!

wheelers - I think your postmaster has made a mistake. The large size flat rate box (which they just added) stays the same. Everything I have seen and read says that the 2 smaller sizes boxes will cost more to ship!!

Or maybe things are different in Minnesota!! LOL

I was told that if you do the click-n-ship on line shipping, where you print a label on your computer that there is a 50 cent discount and you only pay 9.30 for the smaller size flat rate box.

I will be checking that out later on today.
