Mink and muskrats? That about it? IMO, you're overgunning with the 1.65. And for sure if that's all you're using these traps on, forget the 4 coiling, laminating, baseplating, and everything else, whatever that is.
Two traps come to mind when targeting muskrat: the #1 stoploss (surehold) and the #110 bodygrip. The extra bar on the stoploss type of trap will help pin those 'rats down in shallow water and drown them.
If you've got enough water to insure a drowning set, by all means step up to the #1 1/2 coilspring. That's a fine trap for mink. But if the water isn't deep enough to drown the 'rat, you may experience ring-offs.
