well last night i decided id go coon hunting for the first time in about 4 weeks,
i got out there just about dark and i cut her loose, completley different ball game with the leaves on just kinda spookier by yourself, but she hit a track within like 3 seconds it was pretty cool well she started taking it and i was walking with her and she would jump on it and take then get stuck a sec then take it again until we were almost on the other side of the woods and there is a fence about 40 yards in from edge of the woods so i sat down next to it and i just happend to be at where the coon crossed, except i was to late, the dog waas on the other side of the fence all ready and she would take the trail right up along the fence and there was a smalll tree down and it was holding the fence down and she would be barking hot on the track and then would stop right when she got past that tree i realized what he had did, he had jumped up on that tree and crossed the fence, its about 4 1/2 feet high just so you know but, she just couldnt find that trail until finally about 15 minutes later, she found out that he had jumped on that tree and crossed so she did the same thing, and then took the trail back towards the other side of the woods when she hit a different track, so we were back on the other side of the woods out in the field when she hit it real good and took it about half a mile away and i chased her there trying to stay away from these peoples house because they have some BIG german sheperds, well all of the suddden my dog goes nuts like crazy nuts, and i think she caught whatever it was on the ground because it was that crazy well then it got loose from her, and took off across the road, to the woods a half mile behind my house well while cutting through that field since she was already at that woods i figured id just stop by the house get the fourwheeler and be on my way and have her in just a few minutes, well mom left the key to the fourwheeler on so the battery was dead!, so i just took off running through the field back to the woods where i could here the dog and she had gotten farther all most out of hearing range but i could tell which way she was coming from so i walked that way got about 1/2 mile that way and couldnt here her anymore, so i called my sister and asked her if she could come pick me up at the graveyard and she said she was on her way, well i really wasnt expecting her to actually come get me and i wasnt at the graveyard yet, still about 200 yards from it, i ran as fast as i could there but she still beat me, well i got in and she asked me where i wanted to go and i said that way and pointed my finger cause that was the last place i had heard her come from, well we drove around but didnt here her at all so we went home, i was upset but this had happend before and she had come home so i had some faith, i went to bed and then was woken up early that morning saying she had come home from my mom, i was happy but i was still tired and mom said izzi was real sore and that i need to stay home with her, to keep an eye on her i said ok and went back to bed well when i woke up i came down stairs and izzi was in the cage in the breezeway just layin thre and she wouldnt come out, i called mom and she told me just to give her some pain meds, so i gave her some of them,
well just now i heard her get up so i ran out there, she was standing in the cage, i sat down and asked her to come to me, and she walked out thats when i noticed her whole right side was completely messed up and so was her back leg, she had also peed herself a little, that got me really teary eyed, then she went back in the cage and laid down before i could stop her,
im not sure what happend if she got hit by a car or a kicked by a horse or some heck of a deer, but whatever it is it isnt good, and i dont know what my parents will say, i just hope she turns out ok

Any bite marks on her? Sounds like a pack of yotes could have attacked her. I have had them come in on my beagles while running at night. Especially this time of year if your dog gets too close to a den.

well i know it wasnt a mountain lion, or at least i dont think the dnr is droppin them off here lol, there is not any bite marks that i can see, but she wont get up except that once so i cant be sure

It may have been a snake. They come out at this time ya know? That is why my bro dont run his dog anymore. Just a thought.

no idea, possibly yotes or myabe bobcat, good luck with everything, IMO ya gotta be crazy to run ur coon dogs this time of year...SNAKES..lol

no, mom says she will be fine just give her some rest time,
right now shes sitting in the recliner, with the remote lol
she is walking better now but, will definetly need some time
