Here is a picture of my squirrel and weasel boards. The squirrel is 2 3/4 inches wide at the 12 inch mark. I put up over 100 sq. each year.



The weasel is 2 1/4 inches at the 12 inch mark. I do make all my boards out of red cedar and I like to make them a little extra long. But, that's just me.

huh, i just use weasle boards figure it get some extra length out of my squirrels. i should try and make some cause the squirrel tails always hang off the end of the weasle board. those are really nice by the way.

We only have red squirrels here. Opps! and a few flying squirrels.

A friend takes about 1000 a year. I could but I am too lazy. Just think that it would be a way to make a million. My area could easily produce thousands each year and with them producing 2 litters a year I should never run out.

Dear "Too Lazy" I never thought you would admit it....now I've got it in print..... here I thought you were just too busy skinnin marten and beave's..... on a serious note you do make nice boards and I should know cause I've got some.....has the ice gone out yet ??? and are you going to do some beav's ..

Ice is still with us. Still a foot of snow in the yard. I am headed fir Ft. St. John in the morning to visit some friends we promised to see last summer. Gas is 126.9 a litre up here.
I promised Kath that I would go out and get some beaver that she could have plucked and sheared to make teddy bears from. I will go for a ride on the snowmobile next week and see if I can find any handy spots.
