Let Live NW Animal Rights Conference

Animals belong to themselves, not to us. They should not suffer in our systems of food, science, entertainment and fashion. Instead, they should live free of the tyranny we put upon them. But they cannot claim this freedom alone. "Let Live" is a grassroots forum for people who want to help. Through an open, respectful, and friendly environment this conference will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn skills and strategies to become better advocates for the animals, no matter ones experience level in activism.

In actual fact the ARA hypocrites never tried to pass one Animal Welfare Law to curtail Sugar Cane burns, Shooting deer in Corn fields by farmers, Rat poisoning at Grain Elevators, Heavy farm machinery deaths or the 39 billion dollar Pesticide type sprays that kill animals in the BILLIONS because that would draw attention to the collateral damage involved in vegan lifestyles.

This conference is for first-timers, experienced activists, and
anybody in between who hopes to make a real difference for animals and build a stronger, more effective community and animal liberation movement. This conference is for anybody who wants to live and let live.

"Let Live" is taking place in Portland, Oregon, June 27th-29th, 2008. It will be held this year on the campus of Portland State University. It is being organized by Vegans for Animal Advocacy, with support from No Compromise Magazine, Herbivore Magazine, and Food Fight Grocery. Warning for Animal use folk. If you own rabbits dogs or are involved in any type of animal husbandry keep an eye out when these folks are gathering. They are not playing with a full deck and are ignorant of their own footprint upon the animal world.

It would be a nice kick in the teeth if some folks would show up outside this conference and picket the way that the ARA nuts do. Just throw out some lawn chairs and fire up the B'bque and have a hotdog chompin', greazy cheeseburger eatin' good time! Can you imagine the headlines that would cause? "ARA attack a family for eating cheeseburgers and hotdogs"!

So why is it that a gorup that wants to "live and let live" feels the need to tell us what to do?

That sounds good, Rocky. The only problem is it is in Portland Oregon, more whackos there than San Francisco, as Magoo and Tastes Like Chicken will tell you. The police would probably arrest you for inciting to riot, or unlawful assembly or something. The Portland Police Bureau has done nothing to stop these people from harrassing the Schumakers and their customers when they picket outside Schumaker Furs. The police just turn a blind eye.

The only good person I ever met from the west coast is Dave Vinke( and family)....and maybe that Tsarevna chick.....
