ALF LIBERATE 130 HENS IN WEEK OF ACTION (New Zealand)
anonymous communique received by Auckland Animal Action: http://www.aucklandanimalaction.org.nz click here for additional photos: http://www.directaction.info/images2/NZ_hens_Mar08/FrameSet.htm
"This week we made our third visit to the Somerdale Poultry Lodge in South Auckland. This farm is owned by convicted Animal Abuser Mr Van Den Bogaart.
At this 'Lodge' the hens are kept in almost complete darkness and are crammed into small plastic cages where they can not adequately stretch their wings let alone dust bath, play or carry out any of their natural behaviours.
We were able to spare 40 hens this miserable existence and they are now recovering in loving homes. They will no longer be treated as egg producing machines and they will be free to live as they please.
Later this week we visited a South Auckland pullet farm and liberated 90 sweet girls destined for a battery hen farm. These lucky chicks still have many of their yellow feathers and fortunately know little of the horrors that were in store for them. These young pullets are in good spirits and have been placed in warm, loving homes where they too can be free.
We would like to dedicate this action to a Suzanne Carey; our fallen comrade. While we never met her what we heard of Suzanne has left the impression that she was a tireless activist dedicated to the fight for animal liberation. The animals have lost a great friend.
For Suzanne and the animals.

SLOGANS ETCHED INTO RESTAURANT WINDOWS (Mexico)
anonymous report (translation): "March 8
Once again the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) made use of direct action to remind the animal abusers that we are here and we remain standing in this struggle. In the early morning hours of this day, militants of the ALF in Mexico attacked two restaurants but this time not with spay paint because it is easily erased. This time we decided to attack its large windows with hydrofluoric acid; the acid is highly corrosive and permanent on glass. The slogans MURDERERS!, MEAT IS MURDER!, FLA were what these [Please excuse my language... I'm an idiot], who have no consideration for the lives of non-human animals, received.
Stop dreaming, direct action now!
Posted: For the speciesists with rancor, the ALF."

SLOGANS PAINTED AT UNIVERSITY (Netherlands)
reported by activists in the Netherlands:
"ALF activists painted slogans on the welcome sign at Wageningen University and signs belonging to the Animal Science Group department on the 3rd of March.
'This is a warning to this sick deparment at Wageningen University: Stop all animal testing and all other forms of animal abuse in the surroundings of Lelystad,' write the activists. 'This time we stood on the good side of the fence, but be warned, it's easy to be on the other side. As long as you torture animals, we know where to find you. Till all animals are free. ALF'"
>>
ANTI-HUNTING ACTION (Spain)
from Klinamen (translation): http://www.klinamen.org
"During the last night of February a group of people approached the Hunting License Validation Facility in Barcelona. We glued three padlocks that open shutters on the premises; at the same time we spraypainted them with the following message, 'First warning. Murderers. We will return. FLA.'
This simple action has only been a warning, to make them understand that while we are on the streets and animals and nature are dying, they will have difficulty continuing to exist and sleeping so tranquilly.
We think that there are too many targets to attack for you to stay at home quietly. This, we repeat, is nothing more than a small warning as well as a call to other groups and individuals so that they do not stop performing the art of sabotage, a constant exercise demanding your conscious body and mind. Small actions are also important; do what you think is necessary and what is possible. Pressing the dialog of action, you must believe that nothing is absolutely impossible. We sabotage it. They give in. If they say they will not yield, we will return to press them using other means.
What really counts is that the fight will not stop, because while you doubt whether to act or not to in this climate of chaos, haste, confusion and general contamination of the environment . . . . the clock imprisons us with the bondage of work, the human scum [Please excuse my language... I'm an idiot] attack women; land continues crying and animals surrender and are dominated by our absurd miseries.
For all this, death to the domination of civilization. Stop the genocide of the planet and of all beings who live with us here.
Animal Liberation, Human Liberation, and Earth Liberation, Here and Now!
FLA/ALF (Frente de Liberación Animal)"

ALF HIT ANOTHER KFC (Mexico)
anonymous report (translation):
"March 7:
A very unpleasant surprise brought managers, employees and police to 'work' on the night of March 7. One of the many KFC located in Mexico State was spoiled by radical activists brought together in the Animal Liberation Front; what they found was economic sabotage like:
x Walls with slogans like Murderers! x Floors, walls and doors stained with red paint. x Posters and announcements of KFC with spilled 'blood' paint. x Lighted signs and cables sabotaged, painted and made unusable.
The worst nightmare of bourgeois speciesists has reached them....
Go vegan sXe!

RESTAURANTS SABOTAGED (Mexico)
received anonymously:
"On March 6 the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) focused on attacking businesses that profit from the blood of animals. 3 restaurants in Mexico State where they sell dead animals, fried and roasted, were in the sights of the ALF. Not only were paints used but also their glass was sprayed with red paint and a grill was made unusable.
NO MATTER, SOONER OR LATER, THESE BUSINESSES WILL FALL BY THE HAND OF THE ALF!"

5 HUNTING TOWERS DESTROYED (Germany)
anonymous report received by activists in Germany (translation): http://www.tierbefreier.de/alf
"During the night of 19 to 20 January 2008 a total of 5 hunting facilities in the vicinity of Gifhorn were destroyed. We sawed, smashed and chopped into pieces 2 roofed hunting towers and 3 open hunting platforms.
This action is directed against hunting in the woods around Wolfsburg where in only a few weeks many non-human individuals will lose their lives. We will return . . . .
Sincerely, and with warmest regards,
A.L.F."

I believe ALF is #2 on the FBIs terrorists organization list in America (only to the #1 Al Queda).
Just for the record: Law enforcement don't often times agree with what "Judges" hand out for punishment, either. Its a flat out joke around here.

The ALF/ELF nutters are classed as # 1 domestic terrorist organization in Canada & the US of A.. I have no doubt that the law enforcement officers are at odds with the minor sentences which the court judges are giving these terrorists.

No way this guy should be back at his old tricks other then the courts are failing the public
Animal freedom fighters rally CSULB troops A new campus group called Cease Animal Torture promotes veganism, animal rights and radical activism. Daniela Gutierrez Issue date: 3/18/08 Section: News Print Email Article Tools Page 1 of 2 next > Media Credit: Daniela Gutierrez Jacob Lopez, a freshman math major and Nicoal Sheen, a sophomore political science major, convene for a Cease Animal Torture (CAT) collective meeting. Of the more than 300 student clubs at Cal State Long Beach, not one has sought to attract the vegan and vegetarian community on campus with a sensitivity to animal rights - until there came CAT.
As one of the newest student groups on campus, Cease Animal Torture (CAT), had its first meeting at the end of the fall 2007 semester. Nicoal Sheen, a sophomore political science major, and Jacob Lopez, a freshman math major, got together to try to fill in the gap.
"We're both vegans and felt that the issue was missing on campus," Sheen said.
Sheen and Lopez work together, as co-chairs of the group.
"We are a collective group, which is different to a club. There is no hierarchy," Sheen said.
Their idea is to unite and promote those living a healthier lifestyle while advocating the humane treatment of animals. For this, they meet weekly, exchange information and plan get-togethers. On the group's MySpace profile, the page provides links and information sources on humane animal treatment literature.
CAT's "top friends" include the campus feminist group F.O.R.C.E and the CSULB Campus Progressives Collective, a liberal advocacy group.
Sheen said that one of the best things about the club is meeting fellow vegans who are also looking for an outlet, like she and Lopez were. They got around 40 signatures of people interested in their organization during the Campus Clubs and Organizations Welcome Week.
According to Sheen and Lopez, they want to educate people and make them see animals as "living beings, not products," and to stand for the under-represented people who are interested in a vegan lifestyle.
Some of CAT's upcoming events embrace its credo to show that the vegetarian and vegan lifestyle is still delicious, not complicated, and healthier and friendlier with animals.
Animal activist and political prisoner speaker Peter Young will be speaking on campus in April for CAT. Young was released from prison in February of last year, after spending seven years on the run from a federal domestic terrorism charge in 1997.
Young was convicted for releasing at least 8,000 animals from fur farms across several Midwestern states in the name of the Animal Liberation Front.
Sheen and Lopez said that they understand that what they are fighting for is hard. Still, they want to do little things that can make a difference, like work for the increase of the size of the cages where the animals are being kept.
"Those are stepping stones towards more radical action," Sheen said. They noted that, thanks to the technological advances, it's become easier to broadcast their information, like posting images and video online.
"When people see how things really are, they think differently. They can actually see what they are using the animals for," Lopez said.
CAT will host an educational vegan BBQ on campus at the Southwest Terrace in the University Student Union and cook only with vegan barbeque alternatives on April 14 from noon to 4 p.m. CAT meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. in front of the student art galleries in Upper Campus.

And this is how the ALF people add to the mistakes the courts were afraid to address. I often wonder if the Judges ever follow up on the ALF/ELF cases they surrender judgment upon and read the rhetoric that indicates that the judicial system fails the victim and the police investigators of these attacks at every turn. The article below is from INFO SHOP the information center for extreme Animal rights & Earth liberation front.
Infoshop News Los Angeles Animal Rights Activists Sentenced Contributed by: Anonymous Thursday, March 13 2008 @ 01:12 PM PDT http://www.infoshop.org/inews/article.php?story=20080313131210726
Today, East Coast activist Laura Lungarelli was sentenced to one year in state prison followed by 5 years of probation.
She and her boyfriend Kevin Olliff plead guilty to felony burglary charges as a result of several months of surveillance by our good friend at homeland security.
Kevin was sentenced to 16 months in state prison with 3 years of probation.
Collectively, the owe $856 in restitution.
Please consider making a small donation to cover commissary funds for the next year and a half and to help them chip away at their restitution. We're also looking for activists in California that can offer any assistance they can upon their release. Keep in mind that Laura is new to the west coast.
email Laura's support group at booksforLauraLungarelli@yahoo.com
Details will be available as soon as we get them about where to write the two of them, and contact for Kevins support group.

When the courts get these folks I hope they stop playing around in give them the full sentence and not some slap on the wrist. I doubt the judge would be lenient with these jerks if they burnt down his court house and curtailed his ability to practice his profession. Judges sometime lose sight of those realities in sentencing these self righteous, self centered criminals.
The Daily Star (Oneanta, NY) Letter says activists caused blaze By Patricia Breakey Delhi News Bureau Published: March 20, 2008 http://www.thedailystar.com/local/local_story_080040035.html
DELHI _ A letter has claimed animal-rights activists are responsible for the fire that destroyed Perkins Taxidermy on Jan. 25.
The blaze at the Arbor Hill Road taxidermist shop in Delhi was reported at about 11:20 p.m., and the 911 call was believed to have come from a motorist on state Route 10, Delhi Fire Chief Dan Brandenburg Sr. said at the time.
Two to three weeks after the fire, owner David Shaw said, he found a letter that had been dropped off in the mailbox at the shop.
"Greetings Human," was the salutation on the typed letter that bore no postmark, Delaware County Undersheriff Doug Vredenburgh said Wednesday.
"The letter took credit for the fire in the name of animal rights," Vredenburgh said. "It talked about humans overpopulating the earth and indicated that the fire was  just a warning.'"
The letter, which has been turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for examination and testing, was signed ARF, which may be the acronym for the Animal Rights Front Inc., a group based in New Haven, Conn.
Vredenburgh said it has not been determined whether the letter is "legitimate or not or if it has any connection with the fire.
"The letter was vague, and we have not determined whether or not the ARF is a legitimate organization or even what the initials actually stand for," Vredenburgh said. "Anybody can write a letter claiming anything, and at this time, there is no way to verify it."
Shaw said he considered the contents of the letter threatening.
"Let me just say I took it serious enough that when I leave the driveway in my truck, I have a friend with me," Shaw said. "There are a lot of lunatics running around out there that no one can stop."
Vredenburgh said that based on the rhetoric in the letter, he believes it was written by an animal activist. However, because of the lapse of time between the fire and the delivery of the letter, he questions whether the person who wrote the letter was actually connected with the fire.
Rich Bell, Delaware County Emergency Services director, said the fire has been listed as an incendiary blaze, and the investigation has been turned over the sheriff's department.
Vredenburgh said the determination that the fire may have been arson was based on ruling out all other usual causes, including electrical causes and malfunctioning stoves. He added that testing was done to determine if there was an accelerant, but none was found.
"It would be very difficult to prove that the fire was arson because there is no physical evidence and no accelerant," Vredenburgh said.
The one-story building housing the shop was a "total loss," Brandenburg said previously.
Shaw said it was "more of a setback than a big monetary loss because he salvages a lot of the stuff." He added that he intends to re-establish the business at his home.
Shaw said he purchased the taxidermy business 11/2 years ago from Bill Perkins, but he had been working for Perkins for more than 24 years. Shaw said he leased the building.
He said he wouldn't let the threat stop him from reopening his business.
"Why should I give up 26 years of my life?" he asked.
There are several references to ARF on the Internet. In New York Times articles from 1987 and 1988, Bill Manetti, of New Haven, Conn., is listed as both the president and the spokesman for the nonprofit animal rights organization, but there is currently no phone listing for a Bill or William Manetti or any group using the organization's name nationwide.
Vredenburgh said the FBI has not been able to locate anyone connected with any group using the acronym ARF.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the fire, letters of a similar nature or the person who left the letter in the mailbox is asked to call the Delaware County Sheriff's Department at 746-2336. ___
Patricia Breakey can be reached at 746-2894 or at stardelhi@stny.rr.com.

The Calgary Sun Thu, March 6, 2008 Firebombs cause $6M damage By NADIA MOHARIB, SUN MEDIA 2008-03-06 http://calsun.canoe.ca/News/Alberta/2008/03/06/4924586-sun.html
Someone set several pricey trucks parked outside a Foothills Industrial business on fire early yesterday, causing about $6 million in damage, say arson investigators.
Now detectives are trying to find out who threw apparent Molotov cocktails into the cabs of concrete pumpers and other vehicles parked behind the fenced Giusti Group of Companies warehouse at 3504 64 Ave. S.E.
Arson Det. Robin Greenwood said the blaze spread to the 25,000-sq.-ft. building but, despite causing about $300,000 in damage, was fortunately limited after fire crews arrived.
"We're lucky the fire wasn't any bigger," Greenwood said.
When it was done, the cabs of several trucks, including three cement pumper trucks, valued at about $700,000 apiece, were destroyed.
The arsonist or arsonists also set one flat-bed truck and a half-tonne on fire.
"It's definitely arson and it's early in the investigation but we've gathered a lot of evidence from the scene," Greenwood said.
"We definitely do feel they used an accelerant in the cab of the trucks ... it looks like Molotov cocktails."
Yesterday, investigators were talking to neighbouring businesses to try to determine who would want to target the warehouse where workers do condominium pre-fabrication and concrete pumping.
Anyone with information is asked to call the arson unit at 206-8635 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
