Hope this looks ok, this is how I make my coon snares and load them. Not sure if thats how the pro's do it, but its how I've been doing it the last 2 years.

wood, do you load them over a longer range of the snare, like more then 12 inches of it?

Geezerman no i dont. What i do is load1/3 the dia of the loop,when i start the load i bear down light and put more pressure as i near the end,when i hold the snare buy the end it should form a circle,toutching the snare cable or at least comming close,Loading a snare is like a fine tuned steel trap,not a must but i say it increases there effectivenes. also the more load you put into the snare,the more spec.spfc. it becomes best to you woodsmoke

I agree , loading definately helps on the number of misses.
