The tird in my opinion should go at the base of the dirt hole, just above your trap jaw. Most K-9's place there paw right up next to the tird when they sniff it. Just my opinion. Nice set either way.

I would either put the turd up next to the hole like ever one else was saying or make two set and do a turd set about 10 to 15 feet away and catch the circling fox or yote who is shy and suspicious about gland lures and call lures and free food. To me scat and urine are something natural and they have less fear of and more curoisty as to who is in the neighbor hood and tress passing on there territory you also might have a double waiting for you
this turd set took 2 greys for me when the dirt hole never connected also I would make your dirt hole deeper makem work the hole the fox could easly reach over or come in from the side and grab that cotton ball and not get caught just a suggestion

Personal preferance, but I would move that cotton ball into the hole farther and put a SMALL wad of grass into the hole. Need to keep their attention at the set longer, no need to the way it is, as they can probably reach around and pull that wad out because it is so close to the entrance. Make them work for it.
Id put a magazine on the left of the turd and maybe some charmin close by, think it would make a good curiosity set, but seriosly shows potential but would have the trap close to the side.
