Thanks. I had an old school teacher who I will never forget. She was a very mannish old gal, but a heart of gold. I always mispelled "separate".

She knew I was into trapping and creepy crawling things in the fifth grade (course I was the only 18 year old in fifth grade \:\) ) but anywho, she played on my interest in muskrats and nasty stuff. I always wanted to spell it "seperate" and she told me one day "there's a rat in there, and don't you forget it! Just put a rat in there!"

To this day every time I spell that word I think of her.

I am thinking that is the best tribute or reward a teacher can have.

NOTHING has to leave a standing corn field. Like you say they have EVERYTHING they need in there to survive.

Most I've walked always hold water somewhere also. All it takes is a SMALL low spot and it turns into an internal watering hole.

The mud puddles don't dry out cause the wind can't get to em.

Off to check traps...........

K9, I just backed up and saw your ink dribbled my way in comment.

May I assure you that my editorial "sights" were not aimed at you. My mind was wandering, perhaps in the cloud of a "senior moment." My dwell and tack in my digressions so inked was in a generic roam from my own past experiences in the clause of being a recipient of unsolicited "toxicity" rendered to my gentle opinions on a given topic. I was not paying the least bit of attention to the historical contentions that you and Asa perhaps have shared. I did not know that, nor do I care.

You are a valued member in my corridor here, and any implied notions that I may have spelled were not directed to you in motion. If that was the case under the circumstances during this thread, I would have been man enough to point my finger without talking behind my back. I treasure your friendship on this forum. My hope and prayer is that you digest this admission accordingly. Thank you for the listen!

Jonathan
