I'm planning to put out a number of lil griz, some baited with fish, some with something sweet just for comparison. I'm thinking little marshmallows mixed with molasses. What kind of results have you gotten with molasses? Anybody got a better idea?

They go crazyy for it! like to mix 8oz molases,7ounces syrup,7ounces vanilla with some lil marshmellows and they love it!

I got a trail cam pic of 4 coons on one of my bear baits, it was meat, molasses, chicken feed corn, and doughnuts, also got a pic of a pair of pine martens on the same bait.

sounds good!

When baiting the lil griz.....do you bait the actual trigger, or just need to get chunks of bait below it in the trap?

I put the bait in, then stuff leaves into it to make the coon work at it a little.

I use 4 oz honey, 2 oz molassis, one tsp anise extract, one tsp vanilla. Smells real good. I'll mix it 1:1 with peanut butter for a paste bait.
