CoonH - I'm trying to help out a cause and can't get any info. any other way then asking questions in a public forum.
She also mentioned tight deadlines so I had to ask everything in a short period of time instead of letting things play out over the course of months.
Sorry if it seems wierd.

Lil'Bit, 50 calendars is like "friends and family". i.e. you only made enough to give away to friends and family.
You should print at least 250 and put some serious marketing in to it. The $20 price tag for a calendar is a bit steep - I wouldn't buy a $20 calendar when I have a free one on my pc - Print more/charge less and you'll probably have better success.
Bet you could sell at least 25 of them per convention, ship them to a few state associations on consignment and sell the heck out of them.
Don't make the pics available for free online, that will kill your sales (if people can get the pics for free, why buy the calendar? Look at digital music...). LOL.

So not to be totally off-topic but has anyone ordered their Origin Assured/Wild labels yet? I'm also wondering how that is going to be done, I have tons of furs just waiting for labeling. I'm almost at the point where I'm going to start holding inventory to wait for the labels. Some of which I may show off, and which may actually make the cut. LOL.

id do it but when i got to rule #2 i realized it wasent possible.

rule # 2 states Pictures must be tasteful, with all 'delicate' parts completely hidden by catch.

well if i get naked for a pic it aint gonna be tastefull,nausieating would be more the word. and the second problem. with all 'delicate' parts completely hidden by catch. i done sold all my xxxl otter allready?
charles, i am deeply relieved however. i thought you just came up with this yourself and ran out in the woods when i seen your post!

To do 250 calendars would require more seed money than we feel comfortable investing at this point. The idea of the 50 is to give everyone a taste at the NE NTA, sell those, gauge interest, and take orders on who would like others. The 20 dollars is Post-paid, discounts for purchasing multiple (buy 3 and they're 17.50)and is the going rate for fundraising calendars at the current point in time. The price point was very important for us, and it was agreed that since everyone else was asking it, that's what we'd go with.

Sure, everyone thinks it's funny, but the reality of it is we don't know what kind of demand is out there for it, so the first 50 will give us an opportunity to recoup our funds, and if, by chance, they sell well, it will give us enough funds to do another 100 for the National (we're hoping). And while 50 may be enough for one person's friends and family, I hate to say this, I don't think I have 50 friends and living family.

I extended the deadline to April 22nd, which isn't terribly short. It gives you 3 months to get your picture taken. \:\)
