I simply mix the fish with a couple eggs and good cracker crumbs (Club Crackers for me) Add an egg per cup and half meat, enough crackers to make them stiff enough to form patties. fry them in margerine til they are golden brown on both side. salt and pepper to taste... very easy.

Like said above, but I add a finely diced onion into mine too. Make gravy out of the juices and oil. YUMMY

Same as ADC, but I too dice up an onion. Don't make the patties over a half inch thick.

salmon, eggs, oinions finally chopped, a sprinkle of dill and a shot of mustard don't make too thin but not over 1/2-3/4 inch thick slow fry in oil or butter don't cook too fast or you dry them out. It makes them real nice if you run the salmon through a meat grinder first

there isn't much science to it, I like to add some horseradish sometimes, mustard, onion, garlic, dill, shredded cheese, relish are all things I have mixed in..
actually....I think that my squaw actually uses leftover salmon, grindit up, add ingredients and then just fry the patties till they are hot, melt cheese and eat.

I use eggs, good amount of pepper, crackers, and some salt. Fry them in olive oil for healthy cooking.T.20

Are you thinking of making patties with fresh salmon? My mom only ever used canned salmon, so that is what I use. I never saw fresh salmon to eat while growing up, too far for them to swim upstream to Kansas. Interesting. How many are refering to canned and how many to fresh salmon for making patties?

Here is the best way to cook salmon.
Pre heat oven to 300 degrees for 1/2 hour.
Mix salmon with cracker crumbs, your choice of crackers. Add 1 large egg. Mix together and place on a pine board. Bake for 1 hour and eat the board.
I hate the smell of salmon cooking and the taste is next to rotten.

recipie for fresh salmon or steelhead patties.
Skin on filets, because thats the way I clean um'. Simmer in a pot of water until the skin falls off and the meat flakes. Then I poor all into a strainer and run cold water over them. Pull out the skin and the bones.
Next I mix in eggs, crackers, onions, parsely, and sharp cheddar cheese. Form into patties and fry in hot grease, but not much grease.
For the gravy, I use a white sauce and frozen peas.
In the 40's my grandmother was a cook for some rich folks in Flint, Michigan and that was their favortie recipie of hers.
Enjoy!
