Probably a muskrat when I was very young and trapping w/my Grandfather, but I don't really remember.

What I do remember is the first night I ever trapped with Conibears (330s). I set out a dozen and nailed 7 beaver and 3 otter.

I remember my first fox, a grey on a closed landfill. There's a house standing on that spot now.

My first coyote was in a brushed-up creek crossing between two dairy cow pastures with and old square jaw #2 Victor.

My first bobcat was in a 330 set on a sand bar in a beaver pond.
There is a very large man made pond on that site now.

Lordy, lordy, lordy, how the years get by us.

Later,
45/70,
RKBA!

Muskrat when I was maybe 8 yrs old. Next was red fox, and I received a whopping 5 bucks for it too!! I was in 8th grade by then and 5 bucks didn't seem all that bad, and considering my total expenses back then consisted of just bullets and bait, I figured to become rich trapping fox.
