1. This forum is for authors to post their original works of poetry and prose (both fiction and non-fiction), and for comments on such work. General chit-chat, discussions of trapping topices, etc., belong on one of the other forums.

2. You may also post your work just to share it with others, without wanting critiques or comments. If that's your intent, you should make that clear in your post.

3. All criticism should be constructive in nature, offered for the SOLE purpose of helping the author improve his/her work. Negative, mean-spirited comments will be deleted, and repeat offenders banned.

4. Extended arguments between authors and critics serve no purpose, and won't be allowed. The author is the final arbiter of his/her own work.

5. Authors should accept only that criticism with which they agree, and disregard the rest.

6. Hecklers, trollers, and trouble-makers won't be tolerated, and will get the boot.

7. The Boss runs a kid-friendly website, so all material posted here should be suitable for people of all ages.

8. Authors reserve all copyright in their works.

9. Be aware that by posting a work here, you are in effect publishing it to the world. This could affect your ability to sell the work to a paying market. Authors would be wise to check with relevant editors before posting here; to leave the work posted for only a limited time; or to take other action to protect the market value of the work.

10. Use of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation will more likely result in people reading and commenting favorably on your work.
