Finished up with the dressing of this damaged lynx kitten.
The belly fur is all there so is useful to me.

What will you make?

Dont know,could be strips for mitt trim, hood trim, a headband,or a fur hat.
It will go into the tanned fur inventory for now.

Your tanning looks really nice. Would be nice to be able to do that. Sure opens the door to many more fur options.

Lynx kittens tan up just as easy as a fox.Bigger lynx have thicker leather in the neck and require some shaving.It is prohibitive to send damaged fur to the tannery,but it is worth salvaging some skins if you can home tan and get as good or better product than the commercial tanner at very little cost per skin.Doing one or two skins at a time is hardly what you would call work
