I have been planning on harvesting skunk cabbage roots, I know you have to cut the roots to properly dry them. I was wondering how to cut them. Does it matter if I cut it in half? In 4? Thank you!

Cut into small pieces, about 50 cent size or smaller. Stuff will mold fast, use fans to keep the air moving.

Thank you OhBuyer and Bic, it’s used for headaches, asthma and quite a few more medicinal things. It’s also eaten by many.

sold over a ton dried the year the price skyrocketed.weight is in the taproot really.advicse to dig in sandy soil.some are 2 ft down.

I have been looking a that stuff my whole life and never knew there was a market. Sounds easy but my guess is just like everything It's not or every one would be digging it. LOL
