Found a few black trumpets today, they sure know how to hide. Also picked a handful of smooth chants. The black trumpets are cleaned and on the dehydrator and the smooth chanterelles are in the fridge awaiting the roasted chicken for Sunday dinner. Anyone else enjoy these?

Never found either of those this early here in PA. I did get about ten pounds of oysters last Sunday.
It's been wet the last few days, might be a good year. Didn't find a single morel this spring.

I picked a chicken of the woods near state college last week. Did ok on the morels. Hoping for a little heat to get things going.

I need some rain or there's not going to be any mushrooms in my area. Nice find!
