Ginseng growing near pinetrees? - 05/11/15 12:57 AM

Hi, im looking at planting some ginseng in a raised bed i have and its near a pinetree probably about 10-15 feet from the tree and i was wondering if the ginseng would be ok being that close to the tree or would i have to make a new bed somewhere else in order for it to grow well. Please get back to me. Thank You

To be specific the pinetrees are cedars.

Shade shade shade and air circulation ,if its in a raised bed with brought in soil ,the tree shouldn't matter.

Thank You snare1, do you happen to know if ginseng growing on a slope is a absolute must or could you plant it on flatter ground being in a raised bed?

it will tolerate flat ground as long as it's feet don't stay wet, must be well drained in my opinion.

Like pcr2 noted, won't grow in wet condition.
