seng is done!!!

i knew it was wilting pretty bad a few weeks ago.......i went out today to check on a batch.......and it looked like oct seng..........one good strong wind and it's gone.

makes one wonder how high the market may go this year.

Same here. I did check on a patch of younger stuff and it was surprisingly still holding up fairly well. If we get some good rains NOW, we could still have a small dig in this region.

Went out today many saleable roots besides gensieng have been hurt by the june-july drought, found some gensieng with few or no berries, cohosh already dying/yellow bloodroot the same.
