SB is a preservative to be used after the desired Taint has been reached. It isn't used to taint the meat.

I guess I worded it wrong.I am going to taint 1 gal. of deer meat and wondered how much SB it would take.

I believe a cup should do the trick. It can take up to 7-10 days to take full effect though so something to keep in mind. Hope this helps!

When you think its well mixed into the meat mix it some more. Adding a cup or two of water helps a bunch.

Keep stirring and venting meat after SB is used until it takes full effect.
