I use muskrat, beaver and mink fleshings preserved fresh for bait. and rotted down for food base lure.

the jurys still out. Got a 5 gallon bucket full of fleshing from past seasons. Beavers,rats ,otters and mink this is its 3 season of melting down plan to go 5. They will sit in the hot box till the time is rite

muskrat scrapings renderend down is awesome in my opinion for a base or straight as a lure stick for coon trapping...i wish i could get a bunch of scrapings from rats but there hard to find in my neck of the woods
