WARNING: SCAM ALERT - 08/23/16 09:18 PM

Just about screwed up and gave out personal info to a company calling itself HOME ADVISOR.COM
Sweet talking woman on the phone promised multiple contacts with new customers. ...small contact fee for each reference....then asked for dob and ss #....Googled them and saw negative issues.
Watch it.

Well home advisor is an actual company that charges you for leads to potential customers. Unless you're referring to someone pretending to be home advisor. I use them, and although I haven't always been a fan, I did come out ahead on the deal.

Now the one's that want to charge you "X" amount each month, promising to get you on the first page of Google... those are the one's I avoid like the plague. What motivation do they have to attract new clients if they're getting paid anyway. Besides, you can get yourself on the first page of Google using Adwords for much less than what a lot of those marketing companies want to charge you.

Home advisor fills in my gaps well, haven't had a month that I didn't make more of their leads than what they charge me

Some leads are crap, some down right awful. Bit for the most part if I call and give good reason for it not being a good lead, it comes off the bill.

Even when I get a couple crappy ones In a row and think I want to stop. Boom $1000 worth of bat work and all is well

Guys they quoted me as a 20 dollar fee per referral...when I went to google them the NEGATIVE FEEDBACK was off the charts.

I would research for ADC work, Contractors get hit way harder I would never use them as a contractor. Turn around to get jobs is to long. And way more people never get that new deck done. But most hire someone to get the raccoon out

Just FYI

Anybody who asks me for DOB and SSN will get hung up right away. Those two bits of info. is all some folks need to clean you out!
Nobody ever needs your SSN unless they're doing tax work for you.

Re: WARNING: SCAM ALERT - 09/01/16 01:20 AM

its for a background check, they promote that the people are being connected to people that are not criminals

I would not give that info to anyone that calls you, but if you contacted them, that is part of what they do

way to busy to have them on my team now... actually booked for the year and most of next spring. However, I was a member for 5 solid years with 75% percent or so positive leads from them. happy overall.
