Got called yeaterday for a ground squirrel job in an orchard/vinyard. I usually can catch about 5-10 squirrels and then it seem they figure it out. Any advice on how to keep getting em

I know nothing about trapping California ground squirrels. I have seen ads and YouTube videos about “The Black Fox & Rat Master repeating squirrel trap-
http://thetrapmaker.com/traplist.htm “. I made one to the same dimensions to test on local tree squirrels, haven’t put it to a test yet.

You caught a fox in a squirrel trap? I'm having a hard time picturing this.

Well, I'll be.
I doubt I could do that if I tried.

I would down size the size of the traps used to a more squirrel sized trap. That will reduce non targets of coon, opossum and fox considerably.

Haha, good one.
Ground squirrels are pickin up. The rain slows them down for sure, I will even close traps on rainy days.
Obviously set right near holes, and use big visible bait, orange slices or half an ear of a dried corn cob.
You will hit them, you know what you're doing, first jobs just seem to go cooky
Haha ok thanks il let u know the results
