So What Do You Want From Santa? - 12/14/15 04:23 PM
Every year our family draws names from a hat and you have to get a gift for whoever you drew. Everyone has a long list of stuff
that they would like for Christmas. Except me: I already own six of everything. I thought if you guys could list some of the
goodies that you want, maybe I could get some new ideas.

Hey, that drone idea could use some looking into. Only problem is that I don't have any ISIS neighbors that I could use it on.

Truck bed organizer that rolls out and is made from metal and not wood
was thinking of making sliders out of wood and cabinet slides (to load/unload my catch box)...why not wood?
while we're on the subject...anyone have a source for a quality plastic bin w/lid to use as a catch box (big enough for a few coyotes)?
Thanks!

Joshua, since my son decided on pick-up trucks to replace our worn out vans, we have purchased a Toyota, a Ford, and a GMC. We had
caps, ladder racks, and pull outs installed when we bought them. I guess it will be interesting to see how each brand lasts.
RF, I bought a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson ( along with a 9mm ) several years ago because they were on sale. I think they just about
doubled in price since then. And like David Beldon says, "They were a great tax write-off."
And Mr. Jansma is probably correct. Do they have drones with ISIS locators?

Budget? I don't want things, but events. Tickets to an event, a game, a fishing trip, trap range coupons, anything like that.

Throw Back, our budget for secret Santa is $75 or so. The budget for grandkids at Christmas must be about $7500. Nothing is too good
for Grandma's pack. Heck, I can't even get her to score me a lousy ticket to my favorite sporting event, Victoria's Secret.

I want Santa to move all of my stuff to Alaska in the sleigh... Then my wife and I can move up there at a leisurely pace and enjoy the drive.

Re: So What Do You Want From Santa? - 12/15/15 10:47 PM
Wylee, are you serious about Alaska? We recently had a couple moved down here from there. They're fun to talk to.
TDHP, How long has the Red Ryder been on your list? My folks would never let me have a BB gun because "I could lose an eye". What's
really funny is that I was packing a Ruger Convertible Six long before I could legally do so. I saw a rotating barrel kids machine
gun in ToysRus that fired a couple hundred foam darts per minute. Oh, to be a kid again!

Joshua a couple of good mole jobs would pay for a slide tray for your truck bed. You need to have a truck cap to keep your unit dry or I am sure you would run into corrosion of your track and rollers in time. I had made my first access slide tray with sides out of plywood and my own homemade roller system.
It worked well but was heavy when fully loaded. In fact I still have it in an out building. It fit my 8ft bed GMC truck that I had a few years ago.
The commercially made slide tray that we have now is great and very smooth in operation. I have had to weld some points that had cracked that I found to be poorly welded initially from the factory and not installed properly from the business we purchased it from.

Paul, yes sir we are moving. It's hard to explain our need for Alaska, people continually look at us like we are crazy when we tell them.. I can't think of any other place I would rather be. I just can't put more words into it without annoying and boring everyone.

Re: So What Do You Want From Santa? - 12/18/15 03:13 AM
Wylee, you're talking to a guy that went to Alaska on a two week hunting trip and only came back three months later because his best
friend was getting married. If you get a chance, look up Sealskin Charlie McAlpine on the Internet. Everything you read about him is
true. I worked for him.
