I have a friend who is a headhunter and I asked him about hiring people for unusually rare positions like "Wildlife Technician". He

said that it's important to be reaching out to as many qualified people as possible. If you have colleges and universities in your

area, that would be a place to start. I'm sure all institutes of higher learning have placement offices for their graduates as well.

Hiring new help is a usually crap shoot but you can end up with winners. Good luck.

Zoology/Biology majors at local colleges.
And I'd advertise on your state outdoor forums.

Have you considered someone with a diversified skill set that could expand your services? Like a retired contractor. He could learn a few sets to help you out with the trapping as well as perform quality exclusions

Look at what services you are offering or what you could offer if you had the correct skill sets. In most cases, you can teach someone how to inspect and remove animals but it is much harder to teach them metal and restoration work.

I'd look for skilled trade contractors who have experience with roof work, siding, gutters, and/or general carpentry who want a change of job or some extra income. This not only allows you to offer certain work in terms of repairs/prevention, but it also allows you to get training you may never be exposed to otherwise.

I pay for thinkers.....the skills can be taught. You can't teach someone to be intelligent.

Dave's right on this one. Ask any of my old teachers.

Not PC. Really....you want a smart team. Unless, you like to tell people what to do all day.
