stealth netting options?

Looking at a quote for excluding pigeons out of a parking deck. I'd like to do things in little sections but I don't see an option in stealth nets that would not require a lot of cutting...and there's a lot of moving of a ladder/scissor lift. But it would look better that way verse doing a big catch net looking job under the deck.

A case like that which I've quoted as well it can be better to look at modifying the ledge with something else. I love net but as you say this one would be lots of cutting. You may be able to use some locally sourced plastic sheeting or metal cut to provide a steep slope like birdslide. Looks too narrow for birdslide itself from the pic but not sure I'm seeing it good enough.

I'd be looking that direction though again I love net. Lots of anchoring and cabling to get each little section blocked out with that as you noted. The other materials can be painted or made to look like the concrete color as needed.

I know nothing about bird control...but couldn't you just apply tangle foot or something on that little ledge ?

The gel products are still often a go to for homeowners and many companies.

Some caveats include:

Need to reapply so must factor in how often and using the lift etc...in this case for access.

Pigeons generally seem to laugh at this stuff made by anyone on the market right now. Might avoid it for
a bit but generally not for long in my area.

I've never installed it or recommended it as the first houses I saw with any of these applied were permanently
stained stucco that made it look like you tagged it with a black line all over the ledges and ridges often bleeding
over onto the sides of the exterior where obvious to public view.

The gel usually becomes piled with droppings, feathers and dust, dirt until ineffective.

Many companies switched up their gels and have said they don't cause this problem anymore but I'll never go near them
for this and the other reasons listed.

They also are on a hit list for many bird rescue organizations and rehabbers. Last year I saw a gallery posted by one upper Midwest state rehab center that had all manner of protected bird life showing how the gels had impacted them. Not good.

Today I'm heading out to quote a pigeon exclusion and another franchise (not wildlife), utilized the sticky foot on her home and it all turned black causing that typical damage I mentioned. Her house is probably 5 times the value of my little tract home and she was beyond angry.

I see it used often just thought I'd post what I've seen in terms of the negative, I'm sure folks are using it successfully but the pest control model has to be applied where you'll be coming back to refresh the stuff at intervals and associated costs etc....

Has anyone used the bird slides?

Yeah, my son did on a barn swallow job. As far as I know they worked perfectly. I don't see how they wouldn't unless installed

improperly. Now I have a question: What the heck is stealth netting? Do you sneak up and install in the middle of the night, or what?

Bird slide is a good product of you get the client into the ballpark cost wise. Applied as required it does the job everywhere I've seen it.

I assume that the dark spots in the corners between the two joists in the center of the picture are pigeon nests. How large are the openings between the joists (length by width by depth)? I have used flashing coil stock, from Lowe’s, to box in similar openings. It comes in various colors. The painted coil stock can be over painted to match the background color. If all the openings are the same size, they can be premade , then installed on site.

Haven't look at the places in detail yet. The man showing me around didn't seem to think the bigger bosses would go for the exclusion, he's been wanting to net it himself for 20+ years. I know the company and they'd probably have to have a hire another consultant to tell them they need to do an exclusion.

Yeah, this is the perfect situation for a ledge product; you can make your own slide using matching-color aluminum trim coil (from siding supply stores).
