I know, more gopher talk. Has anyone done this. It seems like it would be effective and very cheap, and quick.

I would stick to tried and true....if you keep trying cheaper ways you will get cheaper results and unhappy customers
No need to make a new gopher trap

Get some Steve Albano gopher traps and stick them deep into the tunnel = no misses!
