First jobs - 10/23/14 01:46 PM

Some on here know me, many don't, name's Chad, I regularly read and learn a lot in the ADC forum and have recently started part-time NWCO work myself. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and certainly hope I can share more myself as I gain experience. I though I'd introduce myself by sharing my first couple of jobs.

One has been a suburban coyote job that I'm still servicing and utilizing Collarums on. First one caught yesterday, day 10, and the happy customer would like to continue the trapping in hopes of more. I'm very pleased with the selectivity of this trap!

Other job that I've completed was a dead-animal smell from the dryer. The pictures below should tell the story. There was certainly an additional fire hazard in this instance and I utilized the Lint Eater vent tool and a shop vac to clear the length of the pipe prior to installing a proper dryer vent.

Good call on the Heartland vent. I love those things. They are such an easy sell too.

Good work! TIP: paint your plastic products to protect against UV and prolong service life.

Thanks guys! And good tip on painting the vent, I read they were paintable and asked the customer if she'd like it painted, but she declined saying it really didn't bother her. However, I didn't consider the UV factor and would certainly prefer to inform my customers of that benefit.

i paint all of my hartland dryer vents! Try to match the house but at least paint it white, within a year or 2 it will turn yellow if left unpainted. Good work though
