Just got a call for a large bird in a fireplace. Had the tenant text a picture. Wasn't very clear but it does look like a vulture. This is a first for me. I'll have pictures later.

I'll bet that wasn't a 9x9 flue tile. Probably more like 18x18.
I had one die last winter on a peak. Ended up using two pvc pipes and a treble hook to snag it off the ladder. Crazy stuff. Might be a new critter for us to deal with more often.

Just so you know (incase ya didn't know already) the American turkey Vulture (red headed) is a federally protected species.
We also have those pesky Black Mexican Vulture's here in Tx and they are super aggressive when it comes to food.
The big pain is Attempting to get depredation permits from USFW to control them on certain properties, 90 day process and a HUGE pain in the rear..
