For those of you that have you that have used Direct Mail (postcard) campaigns, would you consider it a good ROI? Did you design your own postcards or did you hire a design company? Average cost per card?
Thank you for your feedback!

The company that sold me this type of program didnt want to hear that it wasnt productive and wouldnt allow me to cancel the service without me getting quite rude with them in the end.

Not to disagree.....but.... If you TARGET mail these cards, I is a great source, Mass sending them the way most company's do is a waste...But...In order to be a good advertiser provider, you must first understand what you are advertising..Working with companys that have no clue about what you do will only make the post office richer, or more in debt...

agree with mike hurley...
i use usps.com/everydoordirectmail i can use their online tool and pick the carrier route i want my postcards to go to....every advertising dollar i spend is for moles...others will fall into place behind them...so i target carrier routes that are most likely to have potential customers that have mole problems...makes no sense to send postcards to places inside town or inside subdivisions unless those homes are bordering a field, timber, creek etc...with this program i know my ROI will be greater...plus with this program there is no need to buy the names and addresses list...it eliminates that so cost per mailing is about $150 for approx 600 homes hit that are likely to have mole issues
with your postcards...if you are just trying to showcase your business you won't get much return...you have to catch their attention in 1-2 seconds...make your logo a small part of the card rather than a large part....if you are targeting moles...use mole damage or have a mole holding a gun with a catch phrase that says "i am taking over your lawn...try and stop me"...get people to laugh...create the emotion...they will then keep your direct mail
