Using a GPS to mark traps - 07/17/13 03:53 PM

Trapping gophers in a 40 acre field with grass higher than my knees I have found a gps is a big help to locate my sets. I started using a gps when they had cattle in this field and the cows thought my flag markers was something to eat. Now the cows are in a different field and the grass has grown knee high and the gps is a big help again. I also use it on the golf course I trap since some people think it's fun to pull my flags. I haven't lost a trap by not being able to find where I set it since I've been using the gps. Of course I have to admit at my age memory is somewhat of a problem so the gps even helps me find my way home.
