There was one just as big removed from the place I now live in the late 80s part of it is still at a local county conservation museum.

I saw that....Holy cow....when they are attacking you can hear them hitting the camera.

I've got to believe that scenario was much more dangerous than killer bees. Yellow Jackets can keep on stinging....not just once like a bee.

I've hit an underground nest doing cat work that left me running for my life and 40+ stings.
Came back that night and Molitov'd the problem.

Multi-year old nests can become quite large around here. I have seen them as large as a Volkswagen. Here are a couple of two-year-old nests.

Who's inside the first nest and can talk? Never mind; that could only be The Green Hornet!

Holy cow I had no idea they could get so big!

Had a freind with a huge nest plastered against a large picture window. Could look inside and watch their goings on. Really neat to see.

LOL - I know the feeling ran a rototiller through a nest last year was sick for two days ! Gas and a Flaming paper airplane made me SMILE.
