I tried that with a muskrat years ago. I was working on a customers lawn which had a stream. Rats were swimming up and down along the bank under water. So I sat there and waited, reached in and grabbed one by the tail. Lift it out and I had no idea that rats could swing up with that tail...almost got me.

I swear a live muskrat is about the nastiest creature on earth, and would bite, claw, poke, kick and anything else it could if it could reach you!

Well keep working your way up . I got a pic of my daughter catching a possum by the tail that would eat that one and she didnt need gloves .Must be hard taking up this line of work and not having any fur trapping exp . Did you see the hog man on turtle man catch that coyote by the tail .

In this business, grabbing them by the tail is the easy part. I can't understand the draw though.....ever smell their breath?

Smelling their poop from a distance is bad enough. Please forgive me, I mean you no disrespect. How does one smell their breath?
