Hi all. I’ve got a 1-1/2 trap that looks very similar to a Montgomery step in RJ. It says Northern Trap company on the pan. Can anyone tell me about this trap? Thanks

Probably not much help here but I remember seeing a couple. Possibly late 70s-80s imported trap with not much collector value?

I believe the trap is Montgomery like you thought and the pan was added separately for the northern fur co. I believe they sold trapping supplies. Trap collectors guide book says 1989-1990. Worth 25 - 30 bucks.

Thank you for the intel. The jaws are not rolled edge like the Monty. Other than that it looks almost identical.
