That B&L with bait holder - that looks like a trapper add on, in my opinion. A good user trap at $3.00

Sorry if I am impeding on your thread but what is the bait holders main purpose(besides holding bait) and how is it used?

Never actually used them but I assume to impale bait on- carrot, parsnip, etc.
Anyone else- feel free to chime in if I'm missing something
