Hutchy, That's a interesting trap. It looks very stout. However I know very little about European traps. Thanks for showing it to us. Greg

There used to be a Russian trapper on here with the handle "Taegnik"
Havent seen him post since the war in the Ukraine.He might be familiar with that trap.

Yea, I remember him. I remember that it was clear english was not his first language, but he still got his point across. You are right, havent noticed him for a while.

Maybe the international trappers section would be better?

Yes, it is the Russian trap. "Petrel" is called. This model was done in the city of Novosibirsk. It in 700 km from the city where I live. Now this model isn't made.

So does that trap design work very well. Any Benefits over a standard coilspring trap?

Boco, I too am glad you to see
At us the season on a muskrat already opened. In couple of days I will go it to catch. I will live outdoors, to catch a muskrat, to shoot a duck. To drink vodka. laugh laugh If it is interesting, I can make many photo from this trip and will share them with you

It is a trap No. 1 in it catch the Mink, a muskrat, a marten, a sable, a column...

I just want to read more of how Taegnik writes. Just don't ask me to type in Russian. Seriously, I enjoy it. There is so much that we do not get to witness about animals in Russia. What is a column?
