Canadian Killer - 09/16/14 01:45 PM

Hey guys. Had a look at a trap the other day. I thinkit was called a canadian killer. Looked like a single frame conibear with a single flat metal kill bar. Any collector value? I thought it was pretty cool looking.

Was it a Courtey killer or something along those lines?

I feel silly for not remembering exactly... Maybe a northern killer? I will text the guy who has it

I am not much of an expert on killers but many guys specialize in them. Someone will know about them.

From what I have gathered from folks on here is that it was made in sturgeon falls in the 70's.I have one similar.
I was told this one is called the nippissing killer.
Back in the days of the OTA there was (and still is) a lot of under ice beaver trappers, and these traps came out of that area primarily for taking beaver under the ice.
