Newhouse Age Question - 09/14/14 12:46 PM

I have a Newhouse #4 with the pan stamped "Oneida Newhouse". It does not say "Oneida Community". I realize it is not a highly prized collector, and is a "newer" trap, but - well, it is still a Newhouse! When did they start this stamping and when was the last production?
Thanks in advance!

I'll take a guess if its the stamped in version of an ATC anywhere from the 40s to the 70s
Somewhere around the 70s the raised letter pans came out on #4s and stayed that way through 1988.

What does it say around the lower edge of the pan? In other words, where was the trap made?

Made after 1925. Even though it is a "newer" Newhouse, still has some collectors value. Depending on condition, $25.00 to $40.00 or so. Maybe more.

Thanks Wissmiss! And - lots of mink too! I was surprised that they were made as late as 1988. Learn something every day (that's one way to make sure you are not dead)!
