Just completed deals with fishhead,cohunt,jedinight,and dale c.All deals were about the time of the crash and all deals completed with no problems.Would deal with any of them again as they all seem to be stand up honest guys.Merry Christmas to all and Thanks!

Hey All,

To all who have sent me trap tags, I sure do appreciate it! I started getting them Wednesday, and already I have a few accumulated for tacking to the coon boards for my own private 'trappers hall of fame'. Bless you all! I tried to post a thread thanking and acknowledging the folks who have sent me tags, but somehow I have goofed that up, so I will try again.

I intend to do a daily posting, but since I already goofed that up, I am going to post everyone’s name for the last three days, and see if I can't do it daily from now on. There are a couple of things I would ask of folks sending tags:

1) Include your screen name so I will know who I am thanking.

2) Indicate whether or not you wish to have one of my tags in return. When I originally thought of the tag trade, I assumed that everyone would want to exchange tags. Some have said they do not, and others have not said one way or the other. I will be delighted to send one of my tags to anyone who sends theirs if they have any interest. If they do not, I can only give my heartfelt thanks.

Incidentally, one unforeseen benefit of the tag trade is that I get to 'mapquest' those who send tags, so as to see where you all live.

Another tag swap report.

Yesterday, Saturday 1-28-07 I received tags from the following:

Kevin Watson from Lamoni, IA (screen name and tag swap?)
John Koyen from Cougan Station, PA (screen name and tag swap?)
Karl Dunlap from Jim Falls, WI (screen name and tag swap?)

Karl's tag did not make it. I received an empty envelope because apparently the automatic sorter (or something) damaged the envelope and the tag slipped out. It was a good lesson. I have started scotch taping my tag to one of the cards I printed out to send with my turkey calls. If anyone interested in sending me a tag would tape it to another piece of paper maybe the sorter won't eat them.

John was kind enough to send me some other tags he had gotten off traded traps and friends. I would be happy to send whatever duplicates (while they last) I have that came from traps I have traded for to anyone who has an interest if they say so. John, I am very sorry to hear of your accident. I am very fortunate to not have broken my back (or neck - LOL). Aside from a bum knee and terrible short term memory, I came away from my fall in pretty good shape. I am probably in better shape than I deserve to be...LOL...)

Darrin, my tag is in an evelope addressed to you. It will go out in tommorrow's mail.

I made a post on the trap shed trying to get contact info for "chappy". I had ordered some traps and it had been quite a while. I talked to him on the phone yesterday and everything is fine he said the traps were on their way. He had some glitches with shipping costs and wound up eating half the shipping cost, I told him I could've paid all the shipping, but he said that wasn't what we had agreed to. You have to respect him for that, I should be getting the traps in the coming week. Just an fyi, the flat rate shipping boxes are smaller now, you really can't get a half dozen #2's in one anymore. I've noticed increased shipping costs on ebay also.

I would like to give a shout out to ADC, I made a deal with Jayme and even though I was late sending payment and contacted him via PM, he still sent the traps out before receiving payment. ADC is a real standup guy and I would do business with him anytime.

I also had a good deal with Huckaberry3, who sent traps as soon as I told him I mailed payment. Huck also had serious stuff going on that could have delayed shipment, but didn't.

Trapper Z , Great Fellow to deal with. I traded a turkey call for some traps and Coon bait. These items were just as he described them and the Coon bait smelled great....had to keep my kids from tasting it.LOL

He had some books for sale and I offered him a trade for a turkey call. He explained that he didn't turkey hunt. Then, HE LOANED me the books,,,,and mailed them on his own dime. I cannot express the appreciation that I feel for this act of kindness.

Not exactly a deal completed but I was working on a deal with wheelers and he was honest and told me he didn't have traps I was looking for after we agreed to a deal. Just had a great deal with Ford on some traps. The day after we made the deal my father passed away and I was unable to get the check in the mail for a few days. He was very understanding and patient with everything I had going on and stayed in communication all along to make sure they arrived safely. I would highly recommend doing business with him anyday.

I just received my end of a VERY good trade with coyotekiller yesterday. My part of the trade will go out to him in tommorrow's mail. He was more than fair, and given that he is only 17, is a true credit to his age group. If more teens would take an example from him, there would be much less bad feedback directed toward irresponsible young people.

I just received traps from IndyChris. As always, a great guy to deal with! Only problem is that the springs on those things (B&L DUS) are so stout, I need to get a little more lead in my pants...LOL...

just wanted to make a post bout bobcatmatt, I needed some trap pans due to some badly nightlatched traps I had bought I needed new pans and BCM sent me some of his they didnt work BUT he was kind enough to try and help. I appreciate him trying and ya dont find many people like him that will just send it to ya and not ask for any payment so you can see if they work. I have to say he's topnotch.

just had a couple deals on here.

first one is with 160 user. great guy so far, said the money is on the way and i dont doubt that for a minute.

also had a deal with creek. PEOPLE if you have not delt with this man then you should def. try. when he says things will be worth while for a trade he goes above and beyond whay i expected. would not hessitate for a second to deal with him again.
