One hand setting tool for No-BS Beaver Trap

One hand setting tool for No-BS Beaver Trap - 04/14/24 03:59 PM

I have some nuisance beavers who's activities have destroyed a part of the trail I use to access my hunting property. This has been a problem on and off since I owned the land. I have caught a number of beavers over the years, all but one in 330 conibers. I am going to purchase a few No-BS beaver traps and I have read about a guy, Dave Sheldon, who used to make trap setting tools. I'm not sure if he is still around or if he still makes these. Does anyone know if he still does this and how to contact him? Thank you.

Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and buy your setters from no bs.

Okay. (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman), those are about $40!

Yeah but even if you could get ahold of DAve Sheldon and get a pair plus shipping you would be better off just having Kendall or whoever you deal with throw a pair in with your traps. My two cents.

Are those setters more expensive than having to repair the trail you use to access your property?

Well obviously not. But that doesn’t mean they’re not expensive. In fact, everything I own for beaver trapping was bought because of this problem. Except for the pack basket I’ve had for about 30 years.

Get a set of one hand setters from Tom cat on trapperman.com He made me a set and they work slicker than boiled okra.

I have a set of the NoBS setters for my K9 traps. I use them in the shop when I’m setting pan tension. They work well and worth the money.

I had already ordered the No-BS setters when I read your post. Thank you, though.
