Belisle 110's and Coni-pans - 05/17/23 08:31 PM
What is everyone's preferred #110 / Coni-pan combination ? There are several options out there, i.e., Barkers, Expand-a-Pan, hardwood, homemade coroplast from signs, etc. With that being said, I'm considering trying a dozen of the Expand-a-Pan brand Coni-pans on my Mink line this year. I'm just trying to justify the price of the Expand-a-Pan brand Coni-pans and the Belisle #110 combo, vs the Victor or Duke #110's. I know the Belisle has a small nut and bolt combo, that makes switching out the "V" triggers quick and easy. Victors and Dukes would need to be drilled out. Is it worth the added time and expense or are the Barker and Hardwood Coni-pans just as efficient when slipped on the 90 degree bent triggers ? I'm sure some of you Mink guys have tried a few different setups over the years... Thanks in advance...

Turtledale, that's awesome, I really like the idea of the wood surface on top. I don't have the means to make them, but I bet they work Great !!!

Why glue wood onto expand a pan triggers when you can just staple wood pans on standard wire triggers?

I’m going to give the Expand-A-Pan a try this year in Marten boxes on Belisle 120s. They went on relatively easily and appear to be of great quality. It could be argued that you can do this cheaper with wood or corrugated plastic and that’s probably true but I like things to look sharp and last a long time. I know the marten likely don’t care either way but I’m happy with the 110/120 Expand-A-Pan.

Maybe It's just me but the first thing I do on the Belisle BG Is to get rid of that dog.
Get you some of that plastic corrugated sign material. Cut to size and shove It on the trigger wires.
