Fur Buying trip to Fairbanks and Wasilla - 03/02/21 08:19 AM

I will be making my rounds starting this weekend March 6-7 In Fairbanks. Primarily looking for Lynx, but will be buying other fur as well. If there is interest I could also make a stop in Delta.
Contact if interested 907-200-4772 I will be located at Alaska Precision Taxidermy off of glacier Av in Fairbanks. Trappers with Marten will be encouraged to see Bill Wivoda at the end of D street.

Next Weekend March 13... Bill Wivoda and Myself will be setting up together to buy fur in Wasilla. Feel free to contact for more information. All types and sections of fur are of interest. I encourage trappers to take advantage of having multiple buyers coming to one location to make you an offer on your hard earned fur. We will be set up in a shop close to the Wasilla High school off of Leatherleaf Loop. Call or text for directions.

If you are located off the road system or in other parts of the state please contact me for an opportunity to make you an offer!

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Fur Buying trip to Fairbanks and Wasilla - 03/11/21 01:02 AM

I enjoyed this weekend visiting with the interior trappers in Fairbanks. Thanks to all the trappers that came by and let me take a look at their fur!

Now.... On to Wasilla. Bill Wivoda and Myself will be located off of Bogard Rd in Wasilla this coming Saturday March 13th. Please call or text for directions. Less than 5 minutes from down town Wasilla.

I would like to encourage all trappers to swing by and say Hi. We will be looking to buy any and all fur available. No pressure on anyone to sell. Bring your fur by and let us have a look. We are working hard to provide everyone with an opportunity to sell their fur direct. NO waiting, NO commissions and NO commitments. Fair market prices being paid on all species. Special interest in Lynx and marten. Premiums being paid for top quality Wolves and Wolverines.

I look forward to meeting new trappers and visiting with the trappers who I haven't seen in a few years.

Thanks,
Mike

Can anyone give a shotgun average to what the going prices are on lynx and marten? Is everything selling or just the real top shelf stuff? Obviously based on quality, etc. I wanted to meet up with Mike and try to move some stuff, but wasn't able to. Also have some cats tied up at the online Rondy auction. Just trying to see if I should try to make a run to try and move some of my stuff. Feel free to pm me if that is less awkward. Thanks!

Thanks for the response, Mike!

Bill gave my wife a possible top price before the season. Scared me from trapping. Maybe next year. frown

Hahaha smile I knew someone would ask that smile I had already sent all my otters and kitties to Moyles, and all of my yote and fox to the ATA auction which I did pretty good at smile

All I had left in the fur shed I took over to Mike and Bill, minus a otter.

All put up

1 Yote $60
1 small dink red fox $30
3 mink $10 ea
8 marten, one damaged (split it down the belly side taking it off the board)
$50 for the large, $20 for the small. $290 total for the marten.

My fur shed is empty, took the wife to lunch, and bought a new pistol for the line smile

Enjoyed doing business with Bill and BS ing with MIke smile
