Granddaughters first turkey

I was blessed to share the experience with my granddaughter. She was so excited , smiles and tears of joy that she actually got a turkey. We had 3 Jakes come into the decoys at 20 yards,and she got him with her .410. Wi. Youth hunt started yesterday and runs through today.

That is so awesome, and a proud grandpa, too boot!!!

A very good friend of mine told be over and over again If you truly love some habit or sport or activity and you do not do everything within your power to pass it on you are a phony That smile on the young turkey hunter s face tells me she likes turkey hunting with grand pa very much Good job Anyone that takes time to get a young kid or adult interested in the outdoors will be thankful that they took the time and effort It is not always asy But moas of the time the person making rthe efort to help the new comer gets more reward the then trainee..Caongrats on her success

My granddaughter had the last youth hunt this year, said she enjoys being in the blind with gram pa, she did get a tom and said her adrenaline was running so hard she was shaking.
