I do on trapping only. There are plenty of sites to talk about professional and college sports.

No no you misunderstood. I SUPPORT the no politics. I had me a little fit cause too many guys were griping about it and then saying that they can’t stand Nessie’s bread posts etc.

I have very thick skin but the politics debacle threw me for a loop. It says in big ol letters no politics! But my first time on the forum I got my posts axed because I had questions about dispatch. I got mad at the double standard and that particular evening I was letting it get to me. Probably only a partial reason for taking a break as I don’t wish to spend all my time on a forum of any kind…and I really am quite busy with home projects.
Coincidental that I went Missing shortly after that tirade.

It’s not a huge shed! But it’ll help! We are putting in shelves this weekend.

We've all been there I think. Longer your on here the more you understand the flow of things and learn to go with the flow. Glad you are getting work done on the shed and you have rejoined the posse. We are a big family on here even when we fight. I hate to see any leave but all of us need a break once in awhile to sober up.

My shed is lacking a nice lady standing in the doorway drinking a beer like you've got. Probably just as well since she'd kinda be in the way.

Does your shed have electric ? Or are you just going to run an extension cord.
That is what i did when i first started skinning my catch in the short winters days.
Also some kind of heat to skin and flesh . Then i hung my fur in the basement
with a fan to dry.

Wow, I love trapping and anything outdoors but boy howdy I hope I don't turn into some of you fellas when I get old. Some of you forget that women enjoy the same thing as men and just because they do doesn't set them up for additional comments. This whole post has me very confused.

I certainly never saw anyone on here being..... "untoward" towards elsmasho unless you're all considering the banter between her and 160user which seemed mutual and friendly, not inappropriate in any way.

I don't recall anything that made me think she was an anti.

I do recall you, elsmasho, getting upset about the politics thing which I didn't really understand. You mentioned double standards but I never saw it that way. Dispatch talk is prohibited because it can and does cause trappers to get black eyes in the media and more importantly in legislative hearings where the future of trapping is on the line. Talking politics, while also against the rules, doesn't stand to cause people to lose their rights to trap. It's much like posted regulations on the highways.

If the speed limit is 70 mph and you're driving 75 mph, there's probably a 95% chance that a cop that passes you isn't going to pull you over. Sure, you're breaking the rules, but it's not THAT big a deal, the extra 5 mph probably won't get anyone killed. But if you're driving 105 mph you likely will get pulled over because that speed COULD cause harm. That's the reason some rules are enforced here more strictly than others.

But, in case you missed it, political posts are no longer allowed at all so you should be good now.

There was never any warning about speaking about dispatch. None whatsoever . I had to learn this the hard way. Like I was some kinda monster

Only your first few post gave the impression of an anti. You used terms they do and mixed up trap terms to make traps that didn't exist. Guys jumped on that. Within a few post you cleared that up that you were new but a lot of guys have reading comprehension issues or only read the first post or two before posting to the thread.

The last several months I thot all that had been cleared up even with the most hard headed members.

It's very clear your an enthusiastic new trapper and have a great start. I enjoy your post.

I think what goes through most minds on the politics issue is our First Amendment concerns. Censoring by our corrupt government has us on edge. The people are tired of it.

But Paul has every right to try and keep the peace so to speak on his Trapperman site. Rules ARE needed. If we owned Trapperman we would be doing the same thing

I have had more than one post get axed. Infact I believe I started a dispatch thread myself when I first joined. I also believe the lines on dispatch get blurred when discussing drowning sets, body grips, rams kill lock snare and entanglements. So it seems as long as it's not about shooting blunt force or other means of the human taking action then it's ok if it's human directly taking action that's pm only. But hunting, guns, bullets, arrows heads, x bows, shot placement are good to go . Even pictures of wound channels are ok So seems a bit blurry especially to someone new. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my take.

Paul does a great job running this sight. It's not really blurry at all it's all about not giving the antis ammo to use for anti trapping. Just think how appears when natives club baby seals. We don't need that kind of publicity

there was an incident in that county (quite a few years ago, now) where an altercation at a bar resulted in an assault with a chainsaw. seems the "assaulter" was a convicted felon, and couldn't own a firearm, so...
