Zoo is nice, one of the better ones. it's free to get in other than if you park in their lot you have a small charge.
If you like baseball and can go, Busch stadium atmosphere is always a good time, ball park village outside is fun, bars, bands, and shops. well use to be until the cards sucked and no one likes the manager, and whatever John mo wants to call himself.

Not sure where you'll be staying, and some good ideas listed, BUT:
Be out of the city by dark Lot's of crime around the Ball Park, especially at night.
Union Station has the Aquarium and a HUGE Ferris Wheel. St. Louis Zoo is worth the trip, go early, The Aviary is there. No end of good food places Ted Drews ice cream is a cult favorite Harbor tours and Helicopter rides on the River front at the Arch The Arch Forest Park has the Zoo, The Planetarium, The Art Museum, and a bunch of other museum's, site of the 1904 Worlds Fair. Had a bunch of kool statues, but the libtards had them removed.
If your driving, The Confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers has 2 state parks and is neat to see. The bridge over the Mississippi at W Alton, along with the natural area there The old Route 44 Bridge over the Mississippi at Chain of Rocks The winter encampment of Lewis and Clark on the Illinois side at Chain of Rocks Cahokia Mounds National Park, in Illinois
French Quarter in St. Charles, lot's of small shops, antiques and food etc Gambling boats (sic) and Casino's Bass Pro shop and a Cabelas not too far away. You said concert, the big one is located near here at 270 Hwy and 141 Hwy.

My wife's favorite Brazilian steakhouse is tucanos it's technically in St Charles at by where the Missouri in the Mississippi meet will you eat there every time we're in the area sometimes it's primary reason to go and we tag other things along.
With kids the children's museum science center zoo for the wife botanic gardens tucanos etc. I'm surprised with all the people talking about how dangerous it is I walk around downtown St Louis all the time. There's a difference between St Louis and East St Louis which is actually across the river in Illinois.

I take the wife on ‘date night’ once a month. Mostly go to St Louis, some time Springfield or Columbia, have yet to feel uncomfortable in any of them. I carry, keep an eye on folks. The ‘Hill’ is a part of St. Louis that just feels safe. We eat there at a different restaurant every chance we get.

I think we have decided on going to the zoo on Sunday before the concert. On Saturday we plan on taking a kayak tour of a flooded cave in Crystal city. Thank you everyone for your replies.

Park in the road in forest park and it's free vs paying for their lot.
Grants Farm is nice and free but it's $18 to park.
MO recognizes My Indiana carry permit and I always carry.

There's the Arch and I believe the Wild west museum is right there close to it. we stayed right next to Busch stadium and could walk to both. Lots of nutty people there and you'll probably get asked for money. Got to see St Louis PD crime scene unit in action right next to the hotel in Busch stadiums parking lot. There was a breast cancer awareness walk the Saturday we stayed there and one of the participants must of had their car broken into so the cops were there. We did go to the zoo as well which is free but you'll have to pay for parking.
Had a homeless crazy person talking to himself and staring at us then laid down on a bench and took a nap. We were there less than a full day.
Let us know if you survive, if we don't hear from ya we'll know why.

If its a nice day take a drive/walk/picnic in lone elk park. A drive through the loop takes about 30 mins. Can see elk, bison, and usually some whitetails. Its free. The wild bird sanctuary is there also. It requires paid admission.
A tour of the AB brewery is worth seeing as well. Its free.
Annie Gunns in Chesterfield is where you'll find the best steak dinner. Requires a fat wallet but you wont be disappointed. Pappys or Bogarts for best BBQ.
Forest park, Central West End, The Loop, and Webster Groves area is full of butt hurt woke liberals with purple hair and ugly pets.

I recommend going to the City Museum. I've been twice. Parts of it are like a giant, human sized hamster habitat. There's a 6 story, spiral slide, exhibits and all sorts of random things to explore.
Re: Things to do around St.louis Mo. - 03/30/2404:57 AM
2 x on city museum. And fyi the arch has metal detectors and no storage place before you have to walk through them. Tsa was meaning them. I cracked the door and asked if they had storage and they were do you have a gun on you now mode, I never stepped inside it's a good thing. Needless to say I will never get to go up in the arch.

Pine Lawn is a must see neighborhood in the hood lol after working in that city for 35 years plus my advice is to see your concert and split these idiots play for keeps
Re: Things to do around St.louis Mo. - 03/30/2409:23 PM
St. Louis is like Chicago and most other major US cities in that as long as you stay out of the black and Hispanic areas and away from nearby areas to those, with public transport, your chances of being a victim of crime are low.
The 3 times I went to St. Louis, I had a good time. I went with friends. We bought gas before entering the city. We stayed out of non white areas.
