Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/27/24 11:09 PM

For concealed carry of a STICK.

https://crazed.net/2024/01/29/blind-man-arrested-when-cops-confuse-his-walking-stick-for-a-gun/

Then file a false narrative when the body cam showed different.

This is just one of many why I can't back the blue.

Didn't Nazi Germany require people to carry ID and provide it on demand?

The guy was obviously a danger to society. Glad they locked him up before he hit someone with that stick.

LOL I see that type of video all the time.
The people always seem to be heck bent on causing it to be a bigger deal than it is!
Same with no respect for an officer , you don't deserve respect!

Where is it written in the Constitution, US Code, state code that I or anyone have to show common courtesy to an agent of the state?

You seem to have very little respect for any person in charge!
Did you do the same while in school?
Me thinks you did the same, no respect.

Another thing , that was a blind man?
Sure didn't have a problem seeing the officers, or knowing where to go to the supervisor , did he?
Most of these videos are just made to order , pure scams.
That's the problem with this country, no respect for anyone any more.
Just look at the justice system.
Look at the charges that they just make up, to suit themselves .
Sure there's always a bad cop or bad anyone in any profession , see them all the time anymore.
Why because they have no respect for anyone any more.
It's getting very hard to trust anyone any more.
Sad that some people just hate anyone in authority .
Then wonder why they get in trouble.
Bet you think George Floyd IS A HERO!

I've always had zero respect for anyone who hasn't earned it. Two way street. I'll respect the uniform, the badge, the rank but reserve opinion on the person until proven.

And there are many degrees of legally blind. Had an uncle declared legally blind in 1976 and was still driving in 1986. Macular degeneration, he had pinhole vision straight out the front. Drove the same mile and a half route daily there and back. When they added a stoplight it totally messed him up and he had to quit.

And speaking of blind you just might want to get your's checked because what is obvious all around us ain't sinking in with you.

And Floyd was a worthless waste of oxygen doper who overdosed himself, good riddance. And Chauvin and the others got railroaded.

Re: Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/28/24 01:04 AM

A lot of people stupidly make trouble for themselves, because they are so afraid of being seen as weak, which would hurt their fragile egos, that instead of treating others with courtesy and respect, like they should, they act up. Both the cops and blind guy acted this way in this case.

A strong, confident human being doesn't feel the need to turn everything into a battle of wills. They are secure enough in themselves to pick their battles. You can't walk over them, but they aren't going to be a jerk for no good reason.

A little understanding, on both sides, would have prevented any issues.

I don't see why anyone who is proud and confident in themselves and how they have behaved, who is not a criminal, would have any issue identifying themselves to law enforcement. You should be proud of who you are. If you're not proud of who you are, you aren't living right.

And yes, I was notorious in school. Mama had taught in that system from before I was born. She had taught with taught or went to church with all my teachers. Those she hadn't daddy grew up with.

I knew where the bodies were buried and made no secret of it. There was this one who had gotten bounced for shagging a senior. Another at the board who was cooking the books. Learned early that position and rank are meaningless.

First issue, Papers now is a gestapo thing. If you're stopping a citizen the first words should be I'm stopping you because. Not I demand but won't tell you what I'm going to charge you with.

That's exactly why you should take those videos with a grain of salt!
Usually it's do you know why I stopped you?
It's been 30 years since I was last stopped , and it was for a headlight out.
He said your headlight is out, I said which one, and he said the one that's out!
We both just laughed at each other.
He just gave me a warning , didn't even write it up.

What did the blind guy do to get arrested? I didn’t think he was disrespectful at all. The fat cop had the attitude imo

Ohio Wolverine, how is not pulling out your permission to travel papers not showing respect? He showed her his cane. Should have been the end of it.

Sounds like the cops were in the wrong, or they wouldn’t have been punished. I’m betting the ol boy has a payday coming.

Re: Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/28/24 01:37 AM

The problem with such videos(bodycam footage in this case) is that it gives all cops a bad reputation, not just these two cops. Similar to some dip wad kid in KY making a trapping video of a dead coon hanging from a tree makes all trappers look bad.

Permission to travel?
She asked for his ID!
How many times are you asked for your ID?
STORE CLERKS ask for ID!
Here the polling establishment , or voting establishment asks for your ID!
You go to the DMV and they ask for your ID!
Why are some people making such a big deal out of it?
LOL a new store clerk is told to always check ID before selling certain things , they ask everyone, I'm 73 and still get asked.
Why make a big deal out of it?
Never have I been stopped that the officer didn't either ask why they stopped me , or tell me why they stopped me.
If I remember right, the lady did tell him why she stopped him , and asked for an ID!
Sorry but there's too much fear of police going around any more.
I never fear them , and have no problem with them.

Re: Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/28/24 02:00 AM

All people should show respect to others and when the police figured out he was not a danger then they should have moved on. The blind guy was walking down the street minding his own business why would he need to show his ID?
Posted By: Trapset

Re: Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/28/24 02:04 AM

Nope. IMO, he was not required to show them ID. Someone else might have shown it but not required. Use your rights or lose your rights.

I think the ol boy was having a bad day anyway. Walked to jury duty in the dark, then it was cancelled so he’s walking back and gets hassled.

On a side note, he’s lucky one of those idiots didn’t shoot him when he reached in his back pocket that fast. Almost like the cops knew what it was before hand and we’re just antagonizing him.

That I can agree with, but they knew as soon as he pulled it out it wasn't a gun.
As far as I recall , the lady officer didn't have a gun pointed at him.
Again take these videos with a grain of salt, they're just put out to stir up trouble.
I firmly believe they're more scam than truth.

By the way just what are his rights?
Think about that for awhile.
What are the officers rights? Ask a question, and you want to argue about it?
Attitude causes more problems than they solve.

I get stopped a few times cause I tend to drive a bit fast.
I just tell the cop I am an old age pensioner on a fixed income and they let me go.

Right to remain silent means just that. I ain't got to answer your fishing expedition.

The officer ain't got no rights to none of mine without a warrant.

They may have probable cause to check me out but I ain't got to help them do it.

Wrong Einstein. If that were true no need to ever make an arrest just go ahead and coerce a confession on the side of the highway.

Our rights exist from the moment we're born and never cease until we cease. Miranda grants nothing, merely put into the record acknowledgement of those rights.

LOL You live the way you want, I'll just stay out of jail so I can fight another day.

By the way that happens more than you realize . because attitude runs their mouth.
You don't have to say anything at any time .
Once under arrest , you better pay attention to your rights.
Everything you said before you were under arrest, will go against you.
All that is, is letting you know to shut your wise guy mouth.
Which it seems doesn't register with some people.

Re: Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/28/24 04:51 AM

Seems to me some people are falling for their plan to divide us.
It's not the police that are our enemy.
Yet many think that they are.
Stop and think how the press twists everything, think how they leave out the important facts.
Same with this video , it's made to get your goat.
Use common sense , and look at all aspects , and if you're ever in that situation, don't do as he did.
First why believe reddit? Where do they come from?
To me the whole video is fake, made to order, and it's the plan of the left to make people hate and distrust police.
Next they're going to scare you into taking a vaccine , or a pill that hasn't been tested.
If you don't take it you lose your job!
It's already been done, now slow down and think it out , don't go off half cocked .

Re: Florida Cops arrest a blind man - 03/28/24 05:05 AM

Shame of it is that there are 99 cops out there quietly doing a good job, every day.
But then their is that proverbial 1% bad apple who bones something up, does something stupid, and gets a lot of negative publicity.

The cops were bullies in this case without a doubt. He got arrested because they did not like his attitude. Simple power trip.
