Photo Phriday 128 - Bobcats - 03/22/24 12:22 PM
Bobcats, where I trap, are not plentiful. I get a few every year in coyote snares. Too, when I'm wolf trapping in the summers to put on radio-collars, I get a few bobcats. For me, they are an added bonus on a mixed-species line.
This was a big, adult tom, waiting for me in a snare. Unlike most bobcats, I remember the meat from this guy was "musky" and not all that good to eat. Usually, in my opinion, they're delicious.
This one was unhurt in the MB750 wolf trap, and released. Sure had beautiful spotting.
Typical, north Idaho washed-out reddish bobcat.
I thought this a nice portrait of an Idaho bobcat.
