Castor never shows in the catalog. It is sold Private Treaty after the auction. Oh NO !!! The dreaded Private Treaty!!!

It will posted to your account when it is sold.

My grades are ok except a fox I caught in Dec graded stale. How does that happen?

Looks like all my leftover coyotes from last year are sold already. So we will see if that’s good or bad

Wissmiss says it politely, but face it nobody wants to get their hands dirty grading it now-a-days so it is the last thing to do and post

Someone sold some coyotes....wonder if they even meet the " icecream truck" prices paid the last two months..

Starting in 2023, FH started a new section of red fox - “stale”. So you have Eastern, Western, Central, Stale, Ba*****d, section III.

I talked with one of the graders about this new section and now I’m confused than before I asked. Don’t ask.

Buyers will look at the pictures and the sample bundles and make their own decisions as to value.

I have a bunch of beaver that graded red rim. I always get a couple, but seems like an awful lot for fall and early winter beaver. Do they throw other imperfections in with beaver that are actual red rims?

Hatters.
..you'll likely still do pretty good on those.

Red Rim has always been a pretty good grade.(they are HVY or SEMI)

There isnt much of a market for red fox, grade likely wont make much of a difference in price.

Yeah, I understand. Just wouldn't be any fun not to question some of the grading. Always seems we have a mental picture of what we send, then you see what you actually have. Part of the game I'm willing to play.

Yeah, crazy....back in the day red rim got you heavily discounted by Goldberg Co. but at FHA I always get a little more money for red rim grades.

Re: Lots and grades are posted. - 03/16/24 06:40 AM

if it i a true red rim because of winter urine burn it will be interesting how the " hatters " want it, due to the hair texture and curl effect of making felt.
They will have had enough time from processing the last fur to know...quality vs trash

Looks like SAGA had a good sale. Hopefully the timing is right with the tides. Hopefully we can produce enough to be viable.

All but one of mine are sold as well and I suspect that's bad. A first ever for me, 4 apparently went to the burn pile, No Value.

I’ve got a fox graded Gr 2 West. Guess they called it a western fox? My castor is in there.

7 - BOBCAT
704051060750332X-1XSELECT SEMI GREY B10.000.00
AVERAGE: 0.00, SOLD: 0, UNSOLD: 1, SUBTOTAL: 0.00, HIGH: 0.00, LOW: 0.00

This will be the first bobcat I've ever sold on the auction. Any guesses on what it's worth?

Could this sale be an emergent market “reset”?

Outside of beaver, the country market to the producer is stuck in the mud.

If those otter lots are 499 numbers they are already sold.
